Public emergency profile: If you generate a QR Health Card for a pet, that pet's basic health information (allergies, emergency contact, vaccination status) will be accessible to anyone who scans the QR code or visits the associated link, without requiring a login. You control whether this feature is active.

Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of any person or prevent fraud.

Business transfers: If YourPetPass is acquired, merged, or its assets are transferred, your information may be part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We retain your account and pet health data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will permanently remove your data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records for a longer period.

Anonymized, aggregated usage data may be retained indefinitely for analytics and product improvement purposes.

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and server-side handling of all sensitive API keys. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

For material changes, we will notify you via email or a notice within the app at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
