YourPetPass

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 7, 2026  ·  Last Updated: September 7, 2026

The short version: Your personal data and your pet's health records belong to you. We use your information to run the app, improve our services, and occasionally communicate with you about things we think you'll find useful. We use security safeguards described below and do not sell your name, email, or pet records to third parties.

1. Who We Are

YourPetPass ("we," "us," or "our") is a pet health records and travel planning platform operated by RD Marketing LLC. Our service is available at yourpetpass.com.

If you have any questions about this policy, you can reach us at our contact page.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us and information generated through your use of the service.

Account and profile information:

Pet health records:

Travel information:

Payment information:

Usage information:

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

You can opt out of non-transactional communications at any time through the email notification settings in your account, or by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personally identifiable information. We share information only as described below.

Service providers: We share data with vendors who help us operate the platform, including:

These providers are used only as described in this policy. Optional analytics providers are not loaded until you choose to allow analytics, and YourPetPass product analytics are limited to coarse feature events rather than pet names, medical record contents, document contents, or travel details.

Aggregated and anonymized data: We may use aggregated, de-identified information — such as general trends in pet vaccination patterns, popular travel routes, or breed health data — for analytics, research, product development, and with marketing or analytics partners. This information cannot be used to identify you or your pet.

Emergency QR page: If you enable an Emergency QR for a pet, YourPetPass creates a high-entropy, tokenized link that does not require login. It is not a public pet directory. Only the supported emergency fields you choose to share are returned; the full medical record and private uploaded documents are not exposed through the Emergency QR. Anyone who has the QR code or associated link may be able to view the fields you enabled.

Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of any person or prevent fraud.

Business transfers: If YourPetPass is acquired, merged, or its assets are transferred, your information may be part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Analytics, Cookies, and Privacy Choices

YourPetPass uses optional analytics to understand which pages and features are useful, improve reliability, and measure broad product activity. These analytics are not required for the Service to function.

Your choice comes first: Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Vercel Analytics are kept off until you select “Allow analytics.” If you select “Essential only,” those optional analytics remain off. You can change your choice later using the “Privacy choices” button shown on the site.

We use local storage to remember your analytics preference. If you allow analytics, the analytics providers may use cookies or similar technologies in accordance with their services and privacy practices.

Global Privacy Control: If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, YourPetPass keeps optional analytics off while that signal is enabled.

Our product analytics are intentionally coarse. We do not send pet names, medical record contents, document contents, or travel itinerary details as analytics event data.

6. Your Data Is Yours

Your personal data and your pet's health records belong to you. We are custodians of that data, not owners of it. You can:

7. Your Privacy Rights

For users in the European Union / EEA (GDPR):

Our lawful basis for processing your data is (a) contract performance — processing necessary to provide the service you signed up for — and (b) legitimate interests — improving our platform and communicating relevant offers — balanced against your rights. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your data. You also have the right to object to certain processing and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at our contact page.

For California residents (CCPA):

You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information as defined under California law. To exercise your rights, contact us at our contact page.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account and pet health data for as long as your account is active. After an account-deletion request is completed, account-linked pet records and other user-owned content are removed, subject to limited backups, fraud/security needs, payment or legal recordkeeping, and other retention required by law.

Operational records such as activity, error, abuse-prevention, or AI-usage logs may be retained in de-identified or account-disassociated form where reasonably needed for security, reliability, accounting, analytics, or legal compliance. Aggregated or de-identified information may be retained for product improvement and research.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and server-side handling of all sensitive API keys. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at our contact page.

10. Children's Privacy

Accounts are intended for adults who are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, consistent with our Terms of Service. The Service is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

11. Third-Party Links and Services

The app may contain links to third-party websites (such as government veterinary agencies or airline pet policy pages). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies before providing any personal information.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you via email or a notice within the app at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of YourPetPass after any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
